Every Mojawhara creation begins with two forms of authorship: a calligraphic composition drawn by the artist, and a natural gemstone shaped by the earth. Through our collaboration with Suearmo, exceptional rough stones are selected and considered for their colour, character and relationship to the jewel they may become.
No two stones begin the same way.
Natural gemstones carry the evidence of their formation within them. Variations of colour, texture and internal character are not treated as imperfections to be concealed, but as part of each stone’s identity. Mojawhara selects untreated natural gemstones for their beauty, integrity and ability to give emotional depth to an authored design.
The cut follows the creation.
At Mojawhara, a gemstone is not chosen only after a jewel has been designed, nor is a design simply adapted around any available stone. Calligraphy, proportion, colour and material are considered together. Selected rough gemstones may be specially cut to reveal their character and to sit naturally within the lines of the composition.

Mojawhara works in Doha with Suearmo, whose gemstone expertise supports the maison through special sourcing, considered cutting, jewellery engineering and manufacturing coordination. The collaboration allows the original calligraphic vision and the natural character of each gemstone to be developed together—from the earliest material decisions to the finished jewel.

Each gemstone is considered for its natural character, suitability and relationship to the design. Natural gemstones and diamonds used in Mojawhara creations receive individual documentation from an internationally recognised laboratory. The laboratory may vary according to the material and the needs of the creation.
Every gemstone the maison holds, and every gemstone set into a creation, is certified by an authorised laboratory and accompanied by its certification card. The card is presented with the jewel, so the examination that was made of the stone stays with the person who receives it.

Within the Seven Moments, colour and gemstone can become part of the meaning of a bespoke creation. The artist and the maison consider how the stone relates to the calligraphy, the person and the memory the jewel is intended to carry.
