The piece begins with the Arabic letter Jeem (ج), composed in classical Thuluth calligraphy. Its original proportions and flowing structure become the foundation of the jewel. From this calligraphic form, intricate floral ornamentation grows through and around the letter, bringing together two traditional Arabic arts—calligraphy and ornamentation—in one composition. Crafted in gold and enriched with natural diamonds and a natural green sapphire, the artwork evolves from a drawn letter into a sculptural piece of High Jewellery.
